In those five years gone I've had a second child (I can't even remember if I said I was pregnant before I closed up shop?!), started a jewellery venture (I figured it was a safer option than trying to juggle little ones and boiling vats of yarn!)...but the love of being an indie dyer never left me.

I promised myself I would never rush back into starting Hellcandy and would only fire up the dye pots when the moment felt right again. I wish I could say I was one of those mothers who seemingly can do it all, juggling little ones and running a successful cottage industry, but alas, being a mother is hard work! Now my girls are seven and five and both at school which gives me six wonderful hours to focus on being creative again.

So here we are...welcome!

ABOUT HELLCANDY YARNS

All my yarn is hand dyed by myself is small batches in my little dye studio in London.

I use acid dyes to create my colourways which take inspiration from the changing seasons, the wonderful delights London town has to offer, my inquisitive and bright colour loving girls, my absolute love for vintage and the belief that I can have gothic tendencies whilst still loving a great giant pop of bright neon!
